Key Facts About Flood Cover
NCD WILL reset to 0% after a flood claim — unlike windscreen claims which don't affect NCD.
Best to add before monsoon season (October-March) — some insurers have waiting periods.
Coverage includes floods, landslides, storms, typhoons, and fallen trees. Does not cover mechanical failure unrelated to flooding.
If your car is submerged, do NOT start the engine. This causes hydrolock (engine damage) which may reduce your claim payout.
